The Crooked Billet has been a cherished part of the Young’s family since 1881, pouring pints and dishing up good times ever since. We serve a wide range of fine wines, flavour-packed spirits, deliciously sip-worthy cocktails, and award-winning beers, each one a perfect match for our delicious, home-prepared seasonal menu. It’s time for a sunshine-fuelled feast. We’re celebrating the summer season with a bang with our  beautifully-built, flavour-layered, chef-swooned-over ingredients Summer Menu. Expect British-grown excellence, served Monday to Friday this July and August. £18 for two courses, £22 for three. (Elasticated waistbands advised.)

The Women’s Rugby World Cup is kicking off and we’re showing every bone-crunching tackle and pitch-splitting try live in the best way we know how: with proper pints, stacked plates, and shoulder-to-shoulder cheering in your favourite local.

Stick with us this summer as we roar on the Red Roses (and grumble at the ref, lovingly, of course). From the opening whistle to the last-minute drama, we’re going all in.

Word’s getting around (faster than you can say “giant Yorkie”) that we serve the Sunday roast in Wimbledon, and after a wholesome walk across the Common, nothing beats settling in for a Billet-style, belt-loosening feast.

We’re famous for towering, golden-crisp Yorkshire puddings (bigger-than-your-head levels), outrageously-crispy roast potatoes, butter-glossed seasonal veg, and your pick of slow-roasted, 21-day-aged rump of West Country beef, zesty-sage-and-lemon half roast Shropshire chicken, our gorgeously-stuffed vegan Wellington (plant-based but proper hearty), or the undisputed champion — the melt-in-your-mouth, slow-rolled Dingley Dell pork belly.

The Crooked Billet has mastered eclectic country pub decor with an unpretentious style. Wood floors, exposed brick and mismatched furniture make for a relaxed atmosphere for punters to enjoy tasty food and real ale. Fresh, seasonal and hearty dishes such as pork belly and British beef burger continue to delight visitors everyday.

Always welcoming with a great buzzy vibe. I came here for Sunday Lunch – it was perfect – the usual choice of roast meats, loads of veg and a giant Yorkshire pudding! The food was excellent, there is a really great wine list and the service was outstanding, especially as it was very busy. We booked a table at the back of the pub which is really cosy, warm and inviting. Highly recommended.
