Our sun-loving, flavour-packed menus are all about feel-good British classics and seasonal showstoppers (the kind you can’t stop thinking about), championing the very best of local farmers and producers. Expect fresh, vibrant dishes, perfectly cooked succulent steaks and melt-in-your-mouth fish, all made with top-notch seasonal ingredients (because we believe in keeping it fresh and local).
A bit of sun, a bit of chill, and at least one person insisting “it’s warm if you’re in it.” (coat still very much on the back of the chair, just in case).
Pull up a deck chair on the Common and ease into it properly – something sparkling in hand, whether that’s a zesty, salt-kissed margarita with a fizzy twist, a sunshine-sweet Cuban Colada, or the ever-faithful duo: an Aperol Spritz glowing orange in the light, or a floral, elderflower-laced Hugo that goes down far too easily.
Then it’s into that familiar rhythm – a natter with the neighbours, a “how’s yours?” across the table, a slow sip that turns into another round before you’ve quite noticed – and an afternoon that ambles along, gloriously unhurried, exactly as it should.
Word’s getting around (faster than you can say “giant Yorkie”) that we serve the Sunday roast in Wimbledon, and after a sunny walk across the Common, nothing beats settling in for a Billet-style, belt-loosening feast.
Close the week the wonderful way: a day of rest for you, and a day of full-flavors and don’t-mind-if-I-do indulgence for us. Our Sunday roasts are dream about them later, piled high with everything goodness, with slow-roasted meats, sky-reaching Yorkshire puddings, can’t get enough gravy, pass-around-the-table sides, and a heart warming crumble wrapped in velvety custard to finish, all topped off with a why-don’t-we-do-this-every-Sunday pint on a sun soaked deck chair on the Common.
Enjoy a taste of Summer with a rich-and-rustic cocktail in our sun dappled corners (the sort of snug spot you’ll never want to leave) is the ultimate way to settle into your balmy evening on the Common. We’re all about crafted-to-perfection pours, and nothing beats our deeply roasted, expertly shaken Espresso Martini (one sip, and you’ll see why it’s become a firm favourite).
We’re just as head-over-heels for your four-legged pals as you are, which makes our pub the ultimate post-walk pit stop for both you and your best furry pal. Whether you’ve wandered through leaf-covered Wimbledon Common or browsed or local small business shops, we’ve got everything to make tails wag – complimentary treats, belly rubs, and even canine IPA (aka water, served in style).
